How we think about data

Your logs are personal context.

Basentra is built for food, calories, cycle, digestion, wellbeing, body context and routines. That makes privacy part of the product experience, not a footer promise.

  • Personal wellbeing data is treated as private context, not advertising inventory.
  • Most day-to-day records are designed to stay local unless a feature needs selected processing.
  • AI-assisted estimates and coach wording stay optional, labelled and reviewable.

Principles

What privacy means in Basentra.

Local-first where possible

Most day-to-day records are designed to stay on your device unless you export, restore, grant a permission or use a feature that needs selected server processing.

Not advertising inventory

Your food logs, photos, notes, body data, cycle context and wellbeing history are treated as personal context, not data to sell for advertising.

Review before relying

AI-assisted food estimates and coach wording are starting points. You stay in control by reviewing, editing or ignoring them before they shape your log or decisions.

Chosen permissions

Health Connect and selected processing use chosen data only where supported and when you decide to enable them.
